The  CompTIA Project+ is a globally recognized project management certification that provides validation of fundamental project management skills. It covers the entire project life cycle from initiation and planning through execution, acceptance, support and closure. CompTIA Project+ gives project managers the skills necessary to complete projects on time and within budget, and creates a common project management language among project team members. CompTIA Project+ allows employers to validate the basic project management skills of any employee.

Who should apply?

Typically, this course is highly recommended for professionals such as PC/Network Technicians, Technology office administrators, Engineers (MCSA/MCSEs, CCNA/CCNP/CCIEs etc), Programmers, and other related Technical Professionals. Any person with Technology background can take up this course.

Pre- requisite learning

Unlike some project management certifications, CompTIA Project+ can be acquired in a quick and cost-effective manner. There are no prerequisites, and candidates are not required to submit an application or complete additional hours of continuing education.

Improved communication and more specific planning among team members is cited as the number one benefit to becoming CompTIA Project+ certified, according to a survey conducted by the Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA).

Certified individuals have also seen an increase in responsibility given to them. The scope of the projects assigned has increased for certified individuals, as well as the number of projects they are assigned to work on. More Project+ certified individuals have reported that they have led between one or more projects since becoming CompTIA Project+ certified and have been responsible for multiple projects at one time. Some even reported that they received a promotion or a pay raise since becoming certified.

According to a survey conducted by the Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA)   most CompTIA Project+ certified individuals manage one to three projects lasting anywhere between one to nine months with four to nine team members. Eighty-five percent of certified individuals are responsible for anywhere from two to five projects at the same time. For more information about CompTIA Project+, please visit

The CompTIA Project+ gives students the resources they need to gain a competitive advantage locally and internationally. The curriculum is international in scope with an orientation to the South African developing country context, and it has strong practical emphasis. It covers the entire project life cycle from initiation and planning through execution, acceptance, support and closure. The curriculum is based on the PMBOK (Project Management Body of Knowledge).

Learning Methodology

SIMLAU BIZTECH endeavours to ensure that delegates undergoing the training are prepared enough for international exams by the time they finish the course. This is made possible by our training methodology anchored on the 'Learning by Doing' philosophy. The 'Doing' part is concerned with real life projects instead of hypothetical projects that most training organizations most often rely on. We also facilitate and endorse the Project+ certification registration process for our delegates. It is worth noting that endorsement for registration by a registered Project Management training provider is a strict requirement for the CompTIA Project+ exams. Upon successful completion of our program delegates obtain certification endorsed by CompTIA. At Simlau Biztech Academy our intention is to groom our students as much as possible with sufficient practical skills and knowledge for the achievement of our target result of 100 percent in certification exams.
